Welcome to Mount Plesant Tennis Club
Mount Pleasant Tennis club is located in Rotary Park, with a beatiful view of downtown
Calgary from the top of the Bow River escarpment.
Situated on a hill just north-east of the Centre Street Bridge,
surrounded by City parkland
and overlooking downtown ... the Club has few rivals.
Club has five hard surface courts. Three have lights for night play. All courts
are nestled in tall hedges to shelter against the wind. Green backdrops line the
chain link fence to give good ball visibility.
One of the great attractions is the Clubhouse, with a back deck overlooking Bow
River, Rocky Mountains and Calgary downtown...
Our members are of all ages and we enjoy combining tennis with a relaxed and sociable club atmosphere. Club offers a wide range of activities, including tennis and fitness lessons, tournaments and box leagues. Social events, like "Friday Night Doubles" followed
by gourmet barbeque, are big part of club operation. Number of special events
are scheduled through the season and our annual Wimbledon Tea is not to be missed!
MPTC prides itself on its strong tradition of volunteerism, which
encourages participation and keeps membership fees low.
Club management is undertaken by volounteer executive committee.
2011 season starts on Saturday May 7 and runs till late
October... We will continue playing for as long as the weather is good.
